The Four Pillars

At the heart of Kappa Sigma lie the Fraternity's Four Pillars, which guide our ambitions and underpin our successes. Striving for excellence produces Brothers who are involved in all aspects of campus life; who excel academically as students and professionally upon graduation; who strive to develop lifelong bonds with those around them; who support their peers; and who serve their colleges and communities.

The Four Pillars of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity are as follow: Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service.

Thank you for your interest in the rush process at Kappa Sigma - University of Nevada, Reno. Each semester, our Fraternity attracts ambitious students with the drive and desire to positively impact the community. We foster relationship-building, and provide a unique support system that will open doors for members throughout their futures.

Kappa Sigma’s pledge education process involves cultivating the new member with the basic knowledge necessary to understand the Fraternity’s history, founding, growth, leadership structure, and responsibility within the Greek community as a whole.

On a more personal level, the pledge program cultivates time management and personal development skills which become critical throughout college and beyond. In addition, emphasis is placed on the importance of responsibility to one’s self in terms of academic, fraternal, and community obligations.
